The presence of Saxony‘s Premier Stanislaw Tillich during the handover and start-up of the new workshop was the highlight of the event. The investment for the 3,200 m² hall was actively supported by the Town of Bernsdorf and the Free State of Saxony’s economic development. With the product range expansion of four trapezoidal profiles and one sinusoidal profile as well as an increase in production capacity of 50% for standard profiles, ALUFORM takes over market leadership in Germany. Naturally, the workshop’s facade is cladded with our own aluminium sandwich systems. The roof, equipped with the new ALU SOLAR® aluminium roof system, feeds 100,000 kWh into the power grid yearly. A rather unique architectural project is worth presenting to you: the Jan-Schaffelaar Theatre in Barneveld (Netherlands). Besides the architecture itself, it is above all the siding panels (25/250) that give this cultural facility its very own look. The facade appears as a structured compositional surface, which is nuanced through a special kind of surface finish in colours PVdF Virgo 1 and PVdF Virgo 3. The interplay between surfaces and structures come across as very lively, inviting and harmonious. The design for the theatre facade by the architectural firm Bos in Baarn utilized approximately 500 m² of siding profiles. Aluform Systeme GmbH & Co KG. (ALUFORM) expands its range of products by adding sinusoidal and trapezoidal profiles from Novelis. At the headquarters in Bernsdorf, ALUFORM invests about 4 million Euros in the acquisition of equipment and in the construction of a hall for the production of standard profiles. The newly built production hall forms the basis for the establishment of a production line for making sinusoidal and trapezoidal profiles of the Novelis company in Bernsdorf. The integration of the new products, technologies and equipment expands the ALUFORM standard profile range. This makes ALUFORM the greatest producer of aluminium sinusoidal and trapezoidal profiles in Germany. The Novelis products integrated are one sinusoidal profile and four trapezoidal profiles: Aluminium Sinusoidal profile: 18/76 Aluminium Trapezoidal profiles: 20/125, 30/153, 40/167, 45/200 The new production hall with an area of 3,240 qm will be ready by mid-July. The newly constructed sports hall in Königsbrück near Dresden features a roof utilizing aluminium standing seam profiles manufactured by ALUFORM. The 30 meter long profiles are produced directly at the construction site using a mobile roll former. Roof profiles (ALUFALZ® 65/333 x 1.0 blanc stucco) totalling 3,000 m² are installed. Using ALUFORM mobile roll former allows for fast and efficient production of standing seam profiles for roof covering. Thereby, unnecessary expenditures on logistics and transport can be avoided. In future, we will regularly announce extraordinary architecture projects in this category, which were realized by using products of Aluform System GmbH & Co. KG. Today we present you the AVRI waste incineration plant in Geldermalsen/ Netherlands. In this project, the principals, architects and installers were able to create a spectacular architecture for a functional building. The building does not only look impressive, but also has a long life cycle due to the use of aluminium profiles in the ceiling and facade area. In cooperation with AAARCHITECTEN in The Hague ALUFORM was successful in realising a unique facade project.
